(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – The Ohio Traffic Safety Council will meet virtually February 10, 2021 at 9 a.m. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced the development of the new council, led by the Ohio Department of Public Safety, in September 2020. The council includes representatives from federal, state, county, and local agencies along with traffic safety partners and advocates who are all dedicated to making Ohio’s roadways safer. During the meeting, attendees will hear from Flaura K. Winston, PhD, scientific director of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's Center for Injury Research and Prevention and professor of pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as receive updates from the distracted driving, youthful drivers, and impaired driving subcommittees.
